“Fifth Black Pottery Crafts Fair” in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca Mexico.

From April 1 to 8, it will be held the “Fifth Black Pottery Crafts Fair” in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca Mexico.

 

For this fifth edition takes part more than 80 artisans producing Black Mud, who have organized to demonstrate the process of development and manufacture of parts of Black Mud.

 

It has considered a craft contest, where is to recognize the best pieces of the artisans involved in the various categories, including Creole, laces, miniatures, figurines, free and children 6 to 10 years old, who will also participate with pieces of black mud made ​​by them. Who have been winners will obtain by the municipal authority the award.

 

In order to support artisans in the region to increase sales and promote the crafts of black mud, this expo will feature several cultural activities, gastronomic, religious, and closing with a popular dance.

 

The inhabitants of this town waiting with open arms to local tourists and foreign people to share the diversity of its culture, cuisine and traditions that have long made ​​San Bartolo the only producer of Black Mud community worldwide.

 

On April 1st the opening has Rondallas State Festival and the closing on Sunday April 8 will feature the Philharmonic band.
